2004

The idea germs... The need for a method for the qualification and the selection of opensource and free software is expressed by many customers.

October

  • 1.3, the first public version is released, under a CreativeCommons license

2005

October

  • 1.4 version of QSOS is released
  • QSOS has a new logo, thanks to Olivier Pilot!

2006

January

  • 1.5 version is released : the method is now written in LaTex and is re-licenced under GPL
  • The QSOS project is accepted on Savannah as a non-GNU project under the FDL license

Somewhere between january and april

  • WordPress runs the official website

February

  • QSOS is presented at Solutions Linux 2006

April

  • 1.6 version is released : criterion "Packaging" added, criterion "Integration" and subcriterion "Exploitability/Installation, deployment" are removed
  • QSOS Qt Editor v0.02 is released

June

  • A Debian package is created
  • A french-speaking mailing-list is created
  • New artwork contributed

July

  • A VoIP peer and IMP client template are drafted
  • Template howto and sheet howto are written

October

  • New wiki template and wiki sheet contributed

November

  • PHPViewer beta, QSOS XUL Editor v0.4 and QSOS XUL Template Editor v0.2 are released

2007

January

  • ESB, ETL, web browser and Revision Control System templates are contributed
  • Revision Control System and web browsers sheets are contributed
  • XUL Editor 0.5 is released

February

  • QSOS presented at Solutions Linux 2007
  • Installation of the wiki
  • ETL and helpdesk contributions
  • A Jabber chatroom is available at qsos@chat.jabberfr.org
  • O3S 1.0 and XULEditor 0.6 are released

  • QSOS presented at RMLL/LSM 2007
  • QSOS FAQ

  • XUL Editor 0.7 is released

2008

  • Contribution Processes are proposed in the wiki
  • QSOS is discussed by others : OSBR, Qualoss
  • Some external contributions are made: ESB, LDAP servers

2009

  • QSOS is introduced in the French open source event Solutions Linux
  • XUL Editor 0.8 and 0.9 are released
  • Several evluations are contributed in French language

2010

  • Several evluations are contributed in French language

2011

  • XUL Editor 1.1 is released and the 2.x branch is started (thanks to Timothée Ravier!)
  • The Roadmap to QSOS 2.0 is published
